SURF SURF SURFWe are returning to Kabalana beach each year, which is the middle of the South-Western Sri Lankan surf coastline. This is where we explore all the amazing waves in the area. The ocean is transparent and warm the waves are predictable, friendly and diverse. It’s hot and the sun is constantly shining, nature is incredibly diverse due to Asia's large biodiversity. We can just walk down with our boards to the breathtaking shore which is only 2 minutes from our house, drink coconut and paddle out to one of the best waves in Sri Lanka in the almost tacky orange sunset.
FoodThere is an immense amount of coconuts the food is fresh, delicious and cheap. Tropical fruits (coconut, mango, banana, passion fruit, pineapple) face you everywhere you go. Local foods are usually based on seafood, chicken, rice, and vegetables, such as chicken fried rice or crab curry. Everything is healthy, delicious and cheap.
GalleNearby is the city of Galle, with its instantly recognizable Dutch architecture. Here tropical flowers intertwine with the fragrant mix of spices and the saltwater breeze coming off the ocean. It’s little wonder this city is a magnet for artists, designers, writers and photographers from all over the world who stop by for some inspiration. In Galle, there’s a huge and growing art-scene, and there are plenty of galleries to visit.
Alternative programsAlong the way, you can visit Yala National Park where you can spot elephants, bears, and even crocodiles! Another day, you will jump on a boat and head out whale watching, and perhaps even spot some dolphins from right up close. You can also visit a local turtle farm, where they raise baby turtles. Naturally, you won’t miss seeing some of Sri Lanka’s famous tea plantations.
Our office will get in touch with you soon.
